Just offered a motorbike as a swap for one of these but since reading your HD comment has put me on a right downer. Think I should go for a bottom range HD camera or a middle range standard camera like the 150? The bike I am offering is worth between £1000 and £1500 if I'm lucky. I am not a pro director.. this is for making indie film and music videos.

Yeah, I owe a lot to the trusty PD150 - alas, times; they are a changing and with HD being such a darn nice format I am going to have to progress with the technology and upgrade...but the real question is whether ot not I'll stick with Sony, or go Panasonic with the HVX...

The M2 is available from redrockmicro - and costs $1295 US. I uses a Nikon 80-200 for most of this, but as far as the cost of those, that really depends on what kind of lens you buy and where you get it.
Look at paying anywhere between AU$300-2000.
