This is a new powerful DVD demystifying the magic of biomechanics so that any player can gain the easy power available by learning the secrets of your own biomechanics
it is interesting to note that he failes to transfer his weight from one leg to the other. He successfully loads his weight untot his right leg, then as he hits and just after he hits or finishes his stroke, his weight is distributed on both of his feet. he is suppose to transfer his weight from the right leg to the left leg. how do i know this. his right leg should extend slightly at time of contact. also, HE MOVES HIS LEFT LEG TO SOON.
aLSO, pros who are right handed hold on the racket longer with their left hand on the throat when taking the racket back. this guy lets the left hand go much to early. he is suppose to let his left hand go after his left arm is FULLY EXTENDED and his body is coiled. Then and only then the left hand should let go of the racket or throat of the racket. without doing this THE BODY IS NOT COILED.the body must be coiled.
ground forces only work correctly when you push off one leg and drive forward. But he is correct in his stance and how he bends his knees, but he fails to push off the leg and drive forward, he shouldnt be flat footed with HIS right leg when he makes contact. ALSO MOST IMPORTANTLY HE IS OFF BALANCE. WHEN HE MAKES CONTACT WITH THE BALL, HIS BODY AND HIPS SHOULD ROTATE SLIGHTLY SO THAT HE IS CENTERED EVENLY AND FIFTY PERCENT OF HIS BODY WEIGHT TRANSFERED AT TIME OF CONTACT WHEN BEGINNING TO ROTATE
this video clearly leaves out "supination", pronation, when rotating the body, the racket head should lead slightly, then the body immediately rotates, top pros rotate much more than this, but the video leaves out "getting in the slot", stretch shortening cycle from using gravity, there should be a slight loop or c motion in takeback, head should be tilted sideways and face to the side and not looking ahead.
Nope. All these bio-mechanics guys don't seem to understand that the body must not rotate all the way, it must be set up and then it must stop. We are trying to accelerate the racket at contact guys, not after contact. And we are not hitting a boxing bag, consistency is a factor in tennis.
