Hi Tom, I have watched this and the "Build" video several times, it is just amazing to see it. Congratulations on a bike well done and the innovation drive behind it. I was suprised when I read you are using an AC motor, is it from another appliance? I hope to see more of these on the street coming from your company soon.

bikes like this are the future , but for people to buy it , it would have to cost same as gas powered motorcyle.

@tm70254 I need help in order to make my honda cbr600rr 2003 electric. Can I do it? Whom should I ask for help? I'm in greece. And what about the power of the motorbike ? I suppose it will go slower, right?

Just out of curiosity, is this is a DC permanent magnet motor?
And what is the average life/range of this bike?

Thank you for the comments! I have started a company, Miceli's Motorcycle LLC, with a goal of designing and producing alternative performance based motorcycles. I am working on a new concept that will hopefully be our first production model. It may take some time, but I will keep everyone updated.

Thanks Hugh, Good to hear from you man. You still have that Cafe Racer? I saw some pics on the xs650chopper site and they looked great.

im sorry. i have another question, i realize im probably annoying as all hell. whats that monitor where the spedometer and whatnot would usually be understand it probably shows speed and battery life etc.. but how did u set it up linux? pre made ?

No worries, you are not annoying at all and questions are always welcome. The small LCD screen displays speed, battery info and other stats on the bike. It will soon also serve as an on board dyno and relay info from our battery management system when we finish the programming. It is actually linked up to a solid state drive computer below the seat running Lab View on Windows Vista.

hey, awesome job dude. I have only one question, when it comes to motorcycles its safer to be louder, in other words you want a loud muffler in order for people to hear you incase they dont see you (im sure you know that already), so my question is, is there any way that you could create a muffler or some sort of sound device. my though was to put something like a glass pack with an open end directed towards the front like an intake and the air passing through would give a faux exhaust sound.

You are definitely right in that loud motorcycles draw more attention and therefore are safer. What you mentioned is a possibility and would make a great add on, but keep in mind that a quieter bike is more neighborhood friendly in terms of noise pollution. We chose a bright color for the fairings and some very intense LED lighting to draw attention and help with the safety issue. Thanks for the comment.
