Here we are again. Yes Sharon won during that award season (1984/1985) for FAMAS and FAP; however you forgot to mention Sharon got her loud BOOOS from the audience not once, but twice during those times. In addition, Sharon's camp allegedly manipulated the result. Vilma's "Sister Stella L", Nora's "Bulaklak Sa City Jail", and Maricel's "Hinugot Sa Langit/ Kaya Kong Abutin Ang Langit" all became classic films, & their acting were being praised up to now.

i do agree with u that marya can act better than shawie and that marya didn't have a good relations with the press kaya hindi sya manalo-nalo (though this is not really fair, is it?) what i don't agree with is, bida ang isang character sa movie kung sya ang central character o sa kanya umiikot ang story- irregardless kung masama o mabuti ang karakter. sa movies na na-mention mo, pinulot ka lang sa lupa is maricel's movie not lorna's.

maricel's acting here is better than sharon's in my honest opinion. d lang kc sya favorite sa press dahil mataray ang image nya. yung pinulot ka lang sa lupa, kontrabida sya ni lorna. sa yesterday today and tom, k-bida sya ke vilma, pero n the end naging ok sya. yon ang mga reasons kaya nd sya mapanalo imho.

da best acting nya sa movie para sa kin yung hinugot sa langit and the graduates. marami sila don pero mas napansin ang acting nya.

kaya hindi na2lo si marya d2 kc bida-kontrabida sya d2. d pa ganon kalawak ang mga judges sa role na k-bida. in ikaw pa lang ang minahal d rn sya na2lo don kc nagrevenge sya n d end w/c isn't good sa moral value. jurors want an api role na magtriumph in the end.

same thing with cheri gil's acting in bituing walang ningning. the best sya don compared with sharon's acting pero hindi sya puedeng inominate na best actress because movie yon ni sharon.
