I thought I was pretty keen on keeping up with today's violinists, but I have to admit that I haven't heard of Rudolf Koelman until just recently. I feel like I've just discovered a gold mine!! Excellent playing in all respects!!

Terrific stuff from this violinist. A pleasure to hear that Heifetz legacy has not been forgotten, as listen. His tone is wonderful and the piece is beautiful to begin with. His spiccato is unlike Heifetz however.
I wonder why we have not heard more from him. Perhaps his interpretation of this and other works are not compelling some how. I admire his gifts and thank you for the chance to see and hear his work.

Fantastico Rudolf!!!
Really wonderful and proper violin playing in the grand manner. What great personal sound and passion! What about that fantastic staccato section, only few would play so eloquently.
I enjoy this performances not an iota less than the version with the young Perlman, also on You tube
