Unquestionably Britains greatest female vocalist, Dusty Springfield made some of the finest recordings of the sixties. Dusty Springfield: Once Upon A Time 1964 1969 features 20 complete songs filmed from 1964 to 1969 and has all of her greatest hits and more. Included on the DVD are her early classics I Only Want To Be With You, Wishin And Hopin and I Just Dont Know What To Do With My Self as well as timeless hits Son Of A Preacher Man, The Look Of Love and You Dont Have To Say You Love Me. In between the performances, Dustys story is told through new interviews with Burt Bacharach, singer Madeline Bell (who sang back-up for Dusty in the 60s) and Simon Bell (who sang back-up for Dusty from the 70s through the 90s) filmed exclusively for the DVD as well as Dusty herself via a newly discovered, previously unseen biographical interview from 1978. The bonus features include Dustys complete 1965 and 1966 New Musical Express Poll Winners Concert appearances as well as a duet with Burt Bacharach on A House Is Not A Home. This DVD is one of the first four releases in the British Invasion series and is also sold as part of the British Invasion Boxset along with Gerry & The Pacemakers, Small Faces and Hermans Hermits DVDs.

  • God bless her!

  • The best we had...the very best. I still miss her soul. Her voice moves me more than any other singer i've heard. This DVD looks great. A shame it doesn't go further than 1969 - there was more to Dusty than just the 60's - but still, it's an excellent effort. Glad to see it's No.2 on Amazon's Easy Listening DVD chart.

  • She was so sexy and what a voice.

  • What a voice, great entertainer & sadly gone too soon.

  • 1:50 Simon Bell or BEN KINGSLEY???

  • God bless you dusty

  • @MrNodzilla Ahh...clever!!

  • @shnooger .Let her rest in peace?? Fuck her and Fuck you !

  • @MrNodzilla So I guess you've talked to everyone she's worked with. Some people seem like assholes because they are insecure, until you really get to know them (sometimes)...some people are charming at 1st impression but turn out to be total jerks, so you never really know. Maybe you're right...but I wasn't there and neither were you, so we both don't truly know. She probably wouldn't have gotten a bad reputation if she were a man. Anyway, let the woman rest in peace for crying out loud!

  • @shnooger .Hows about the poor people who have to work with the stroppy cow,is it okay to make someones working day totally stressful just because she's acting like people should bow at her feet. It is true by the way, almost everyone who ever worked with her complained of it.

  • @MrNodzilla We know the first part is a fact...who gives a fuck about the "supposed to be" bullshit, even if it is true?
