An impromptu explanation of the idea behind the Pimp-a-tuber-thon commencing 13th June 2008. It's up and this video is attached to it.

Pimpatuberthon Guidelines.

Pimpatuberthon Objective: To gain as much attention for those Tubers who may not have recieved much attention or recognition since becoming videomakers as the Promoter, or 'Pimp', believes they deserve.

How?

* Make a video introducing and promoting an unrecognised Tuber;

* Submit it as a response to the PIMPATUBERTHON 2008 video posted on 13th June to utilise this Tuber's viewer base to gain the Tuber promoted more views and recognition; and

* Promote both the PIMPATUBERTHON 2008 video and the one submitted to all your Friends/Contacts.


1. No contributor or participant need be a Subscriber or Friend/Contact of Gigolo8's Channel unless they choose to be. However please DO spread this video so as many people as possible may benefit from the Pimpatuberthon. The success of the Pimpatuberthon relies on the community of Tubers who view it and view the response videos.

2. The Pimpatuberthon is NOT a competition but rather a giving back to the community and allowing other members to help each other and themselves. Therefore ALL involved are winners, both promoters or 'pimps' and those being promoted or 'pimpees' gain views and greater notice simply by being involved.

3. Videos may be and should be submitted as video responses to this video submitted from 0001HR Friday, 13th June 2008 to 2359HR Wednesday, 23rd July 2008 GMT/UTC. The sooner you get your submission in the longer the exposure you get.

4. Please limit videos to 2-3 minutes maximum if possible.

5. Those being promoted or 'pimped' can be tubers of any kind apart from those who only post other peoples' possibly even copyright work; and solely political or solely religious video makers should be avoided.

6. Tubers may agree to 'pimp' each other.

7. Tubers being pimped should have no more than 399 subscribers and the less recognition they've recieved so far the better.

8. Please gain permission if you intend to use video from the 'pimpee' in order to promote them.

9. Obey the "K.I.S.S." rule, i.e., 'Keep It Simple Stupid'.

10. Gigolo8 and Chook 'may' choose a favorite Pimping Video and a favorite Pimpee at their discretion.
