Erm nope, that hell thingy is all on your mind. It makes no sense and has no meaning to the rest of us. Neither does paradise, heaven, walhalla, the eternal hunting grounds or any other fictitious place you would like to bring up.

Unlikely anyone will go to hell or heaven sine neither do exist. Just because you decide to believe in some iron-age fairytale does not make it so. Well, and the rest of us, yes we do require proof...and no a book chock full of myths is not proof.

Is it really a bad thing to have one's beliefs judged by others? It is how we evolve philosophically. We should welcome bad beliefs we hold as being exposed as bad beliefs. We should be confident that good beliefs will hold up to criticism. The only reason to fear this kind of judgement is a desire to hold onto any beliefs we may have regardless of their merits, and the biggest reason to be offended is a fear our beliefs may not be as great as we wish them to be. Even tradition can be improved.
