Beau Davis and Zac Leger - Craig's Pipes on 'C' flute

A slow reel version of this oft-played tune. Beau is using a low 'C' flute made by Dave Copley. Other than a few off chords and slight timing flubs, I think it came off rather nice. Guitar tuning is DADGBD, if anyone is interested.

Great playing, I like to see all these players using piper's grip. Is is safe to play on your shoulder though?

I have actually been playing on the shoulder a lot lately as well. It is easier on my hands and it keeps my embouchure is much cleaner. It forces me to keep the flute straight rather than let it drift forward.

Thank you!:) A transcription? Not sure what that would consist of. We basically took the usual tune and just slowed it down. Nothing particularly complicated!

Yea, I used to play on the shoulder too, I know what you mean about the hands and embouchure. I was just told by several people that it is very bad for your back and neck to play on the shoulder.
