@mylofthouse Hi - Enjoy your hens. I am 100% certain that they will really fascinate you. I now have 24, the 5 original and a variety of different breeds including Jersey Giants, Bluebells, Golden Brahmas, Leghorns and Speckled Sussex. They all lay an egg nearly every day, so sometimes I have 24 eggs per day!! Sell them to neighbours at €2.50/dozen, good free range, 75% organic eggs. The hens all rush to me when they see me and will follow if I go down to the pond. Brilliant.

what a lovely spread you have definitely looks like happy hens and cats
I just got my 1st 2 hens and was seeing how the cats would get along and - The same they pay no attention to them.

Great video mike, hope when i get to ireland i will some videos up on were i stay.
Its more or less the same as were you live but the scenery is amazing.

@SabMei1 Hello Sabine - strangely, we were thinking of getting 3 more "fancy breed" hens, for a bit of glamour amongst the Rhode Island Reds!
I AM extremely lucky to have found this little bit of peace and tranquility.

You live in a very nice place. Where I live wild animals such as yours are illegal. Now if only one of those hens would lay a golden egg.
