The Urban Farmer
Speaker: Natalie Yoder
A discussion on city agriculture covering how to grow in your small space and how we a community can utilize all urban land, maximizing our food production and bringing it even more local and small scale. Incorporated will be designs and examples of small urban plots maximizing their sustainability and food production at the same time, and a discussion on the rules and regulations you have to dance around in an urban area. A shift in attitude and outlook at pest control and production will be presented (based on a mix of permaculture and organic), and people will be encouraged to start one small step at a time on any scale.
Nanny Goat Farms will be discussed as a potential farm business model as well as backyard gardening and for hire farmers.
