I copied the map / materials / models folder from the HL2 GCFs into my portal folder, and loaded it with "map" command in the console.

Also, I'm thinking about buying a PS3 the moment Dust 514 is released... (PS3 only.) And I'm trying to find controllers which work with my PC, too, for games à la "Space Marines" and the like. Xbox-controllers mostly work, but who wants a Xbox if it doesn't play Dust 514, anyway? ^_^

@jagger1008 Compare the price of the "newest" console at release date with the one of the PC which, in performance, surpasses it. ;-) Also, you won't have problems with drivers, incompatibility of games with the hardware and stuff like that...

Of course, PC platforms will do better than any console if you're willing to pay the price. But I wouldn't, and therefore I buy "worse" PCs because, most of the time, they totally suffice.

@Waislboy Consoles have never had better graphics than PCs. Their hardware has always been outdated compared to PCs They appear to run better because they run at 720p and scale up to 1080, if I ran games at 720 on my computer, they would run amazingly as well. Consoles will be better than older PCs when they FIRST COME OUT, but after new hardware comes out in a few months, the newest computers will surpass them again, for years to come (new consoles don't come out very often)
