Team UMDNJ raised over $25,000 (more than twice the team goal!) for the 2010 North Jersey Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
The steady rainfall didn't dampen team members' spirits. Many of the more than 340 individuals who registered for team UMDNJ for the April 25 event at Branch Brook Park in Newark defied the weather and completed the 5K course.
Featured in this video, in order of appearance, are UMDNJ team members: Leona Chang and Hans Knopp, first-year medical students at the UMDNJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine (SOM); Kimberly Clark and Ashley Sakenas, dietetic interns at UMDNJ; breast cancer survivor Denise Langevin, associate professor in the UMDNJ-School of Health Related Professions (SHRP); Anne Egan, UMDNJ-The University Hospital; Judith Deutsch, professor and director of UMDNJ's Rivers Lab, and her daughter, Sarah Stern; Susan G. Glick, UMDNJ custodian of public records; and a group from UMDNJ-The University Hospital's emergency room.
