does it work for 1100d
-
does it focus before shooting when you use this remote?
-
So helpful,many thanks!

very helpful thanks

@TheDjb28 no, it'll force the AF to focus and then take the pic, not just focus without taking a pic. why would you want to remote focus and NOT take the pic???

a few comments:
A - can also buy from eBay for around $4 of so
B - switch on back of remote for direct or 2sec delay mode (at least with my T3i)
C - you can be in any mode, even scene modes, it's just a remote shutter
D - the sensor is on the grip, not the white/orange flashy light
E - on my T3i, i can be behind the camera and shoot into the viewfinder and it still works (weird)
F - nice that it takes CR2025 or CR2032 batteries which are CHEAP as dirt (3 for $1 at my local dollar store)

A question. How about a focus? I had a remote before that i could push half way and it would focus the lens, Is this an option with a remote like this?
Yes it works up to 16 feet.
