If EMC wants to put its CX4 against the latest EVA and run tests that typical storage adminstrators perform on a regular bases to see which is easier to administer, then we are willing to do it. EMC knows the EVA is easier to manage than the CX4. It's not a secret.

Some were HP resellers and some were HP customers... But none of them had ever used an EVA or EMC box. That was the whole point of the test -- of course your guy can make the EMC CX seem easy. That is not a test. A juggler makes juggling look easy.

Yeah well that guy was me. I also had no prior storage management experience. So in a way I'm your perfect candidate. No doubt things like creating a LUN and expanding it are very easy on the EVA. But boy when it comes to more advanced stuff I had a different experience. For example, creating a demand-allocated snap with containers so I don't lose them easy? I don't think so! Oh and how do I get 'hot LUNs' onto the Flash drives on the new EVAs for example? Clones? Easy? Yeah right.

These are experts performing the tests. In the HP test, the users had no use of the EMC or HP storage system. That was a true test of simplicity. This one seems canned.

The folks who tested the EVA and CX were HP resellers. Well at least 5 of the 6. I hope they would know a thing or two about managing things they sell.
