Alberto Dassieu and Elba Biscay - Tango Vals

Spectacular Vals performance by the great milongueros Alberto Dassieu and Elba Biscay at Glorias Argentinas. They are dancing to D'Arienzo's "Valsecito Criollo".
Both Alberto and Elba are so grounded and elegant it's incredible. This is the way we would like to dance Tango Vals: with beautiful musicality, balance, and integration of step and style to the Vals compas.
This is the only example we have found so far of any of Alberto's generation dancing Vals Villa Urquiza style.

Thank you for your comment and your rating! I had disabled the rating on these videos out of respect for Alberto - I don't think that his dancing should be subject to a "rating" system. His art is highly personal, people may enjoy it or not enjoy it, but I find that to enter into a rating system, i.e. discussion on whether this video is "better" or "worse" than some other video would be inappropriate. I am curious to know what, in your opinion, makes this "villa urquiza" style?

Alberto told us that a large part of his tango beginnings were during those practicas in the barrio of Villa Urquiza, with dancers like El Chino Perico, Portalea and others associated with the label "Villa Urquiza" nowadays. He considers himself to be dancing a "Villa Urquiza" style, although he has also mentioned there is no such thing as a "Villa Urquiza" style, it's just that dancers associated with these practicas in Villa Urquiza had subsequently obtained a degree of notoriety.

Their dancing is absolutely fantastic, amazing and fascinating. I have watched it many times and will continue to watch it. I don't know what it is. There is something in their dance that I will never get tired to watch. I love dance vals. Alberto Dassieu has become my idol. Thanks a lot, torontotanguera, for posting this great vals video.
