A tribute to the theatre. The photograph featured in this video was taken in the lobby of the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles, California in the 1930s. It is of a community theatre group founded by Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. My great-grandfather, Dr. Jack Black, who was an actor, writer, and composer was a part of this company. If you look carefully, you can see Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. and Jr. in the photo. If you have any other information on this photograph, please comment.

  • I've been reading about Fairbanks Sr. lately so I've been looking at alot of photos of him and son Doug jr .

Jr is right there in the middle , But I'm not seeing The father.

Jr looks like he did when he was about 20-21 so I'm thinking this was taken about 1929-1930.

    Nice version of this song!

  • Definitely Fairbanks, Jr., but Fairbanks, Sr. is NOT in this photograph.
