Resident Evil 6 Reveal Trailer Reaction

The game will feature three integrated story campaigns, one featuring series mainstay Chris Redfield in China, another featuring Leon S. Kennedy from Resident Evil 2 and 4 in the US, and the third starring a new mercenary character.

Resident Evil 6 will be available for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on November 20th, 2012.

@ferelinstincts And don't get me wrong I want RE6 to be scary and from what I saw in the trailer specially leon's part it seems like it was going in that direction, but at the same time I don't mind them mixing it up alittle with some action, because that's one of the reasons I don't like silent hill anymore, because they used the same formula that I just got bored of. Although the new game seems to mix alittle more action so maybe it'll bring silent hill back.

@Ilikeindimusic Yeah it's cool, dude. I don't think RE6 will be a bad game, I'm sure I'll enjoy it, but ONLY as an action game. As a Survival Horror game, I was disappointed... :(

@ferelinstincts I am not saying that horror survival is dead, there are still plenty of horror survival games out there. What I am saying is that there is only so many ways a fanchise in this care resident evil can use the same formula that made it what it is. And this apply to other games too, look at gears of war 3, uncharted 3, or assassin creed RE, they can not do the same thing over and over again because at some point it's just going to get old.

@Ilikeindimusic As I said, you can never run out of ways to scare people. Games like Gears of War etc. they depend on the gameplay mechanics but with a Survival Horror, it's about the atmosphere, limited ammunition, limited saves, constantly being on the run and so on and so on. Their are so many different ways to scare someone that you can continuously tweak and reinvent in order to keep things fresh.

Yup I know exactly how you feel on this. If you've played the 1st dead space, it had great horror in there. Because you were alone, fragile because enemies could kill you so quickly and horrificly (if that's a word) with limited resources and a limited inventory but not as much as re1-3. That is what a "Survival horror" is. They lost that from RE4 and onwards.

@ferelinstincts how they arrange the chapters was inspiration from Resident Evil Revelations which alternates between Jill and Chris who are in 2 different scenarios.

@ferelinstincts Capcom stated that it's a mixture of survival, horror, and action elements which this a new type of horror they call dramatic horror and all 3 scenarios intertwine so they work it in like this...

Leon = horror

Chris = action

Sherry = survival

I used Sherry's name because that's the girl with the 3rd guy not Ashley Graham.
