There is a long standing record of Jehovah's Witnesses volunteering in their communities world wide. They are and have been involved in the cleanup, construction, and building projects. Globally, many join the Theocratic Building Committee. They have been in training to live in the New World.

i agree with you sister.jesus didnt go around cleaning up desaters building houses clothing and feeding the poor even tho he did some of these things he made the preaching work his #1 priority.because the hope for all comes from a source higher than any human or goverment aid.the only lasting hope to finaly END all the pain sickness hungry death sorrows is through gaining acurate knowledge of GODS requirements and then applying them to the best of our abilitys and helping other to gain knowledge

I wish this video was true but it is not. The WTBTS does not encourage any community efforts that take away time from door to door ministries.

@JAT002 If this were the case, we wouldn't be known in our communities for assisting our neighbors. We are to love our neighbors MORE than ourselves. This includes doing things that we sometimes don't want to do. Love is the identifying mark of true Christians. But, yes, Jesus made the preaching of God's Kingdom first and foremost in his ministry while he was here on the earth. I can go shopping, and hand out Bible-based literature. So, you are speaking out of hate not love.

@JAT002 Besides the ministry was instituted by Christ. The early Christians did fine works, and yet preached the good news about God's Kingdom, which they knew is the only hope for all mankind. So what you are saying, is that we should not try to pull our neighbors out of the false teachings that live them blinded. Never may that happen! I'll continue to preach thank you. And if you are complacent, that's your business. You are a grown man. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.
