@LovePahlavi Dear friend, that comment was written two years ago in moments of horror and emotional stress over what was going on in Iran. I really do not have an opinion on what shah should have done. One thing is for sure, he was a lot more human than any of these self righteous, half witted, blood thirsty sub humans that are in power now. and you are right, us iranian have a serious cultural problem but remain ignoramus to it. I hope we learn to communicate nicely.
@LovePahlavi I mean the US may have stirred up a bit of trouble to punish the Shah that went further than they wanted, same as they got rid of Sadam for turning against the US.
What I heard was that the Shah had put out for tender a project for a new port, a US company won the tender with a bid of around a billion dollars. President Carter told the Shah to cancel the bid and award it to a team of Carters friends for 1.3 billion, they would then employ the winning bid to build the port for the original billion, and split the 300 million between themselves. The Shahs answer was basically $#@*& and weeks later the revolution took place. True or not, no idea.
dude look at this, nothing but Cinderella glory in Iran...and now what?? Aladdin and Ali Babba flowing in Iran nothing but Indian Akhoonds running the country. No shit in Shah's days there were many problems but OVERALL i think people would agree back then if you step outside your door you have the freedom to live your life, can't do that now in iran now can you.

I remember there was a theory at the time of the NZ PM Norman Kirk death that he had been poisoned, can't recall whether it was KGB or CIA.
