One of few elites at the time who tried to do right by the American people. True courage to address inequalities and societal ills as witnessed by those who cared about the have-nots. I do think that the political discourse today is one that is remenicent of the 60s. There are those whose rights are once again being trampled upon and those who are basking in the glory of their righteounous. Who will display the moral courage in this generation. I pray the president sees the light. Hope.

@XMedoraX  okay, cdddraftsman has a lot of rage - but he's basically right. The Kennedy family was an incestuous, sexually deviant family who had no ability to truly connect to anyone on an a deep emotional level. Jack Kennedy told a friend, "If I had life to live over, I'd have a different father, different wife, and a different religion. Joe Kennedy was an evil monster who coerced Jack to fill in his dead brother's shoes. Joe Sr. meant to live through his boys. He was open about it.

Ignore cdddraftsman. This asshat is the biggest troll. For somebody who claims to hate the Kennedys, he can't stay away from any site featuring them. If he isn't trashing their politics, he's obsessing over their sex lives. This leads to two obvious scenarios. A) he's jealous as hell of JFK and his brothers because he can't even buy attention from a woman, or B) he's bicurious or sexually repressed and secretly wishes he could've spent quality time with one of the Kennedy men. I'm going with B.
