Lets try and have a reasonable discussion on taxation. The government needs revenue to build a livable society. I think these conservative/libertarian conversations about reducing taxes for the sake of reducing taxes is short sighted and simple minded. A better discussion would be one on how to spend our tax dollars most efficiently and effectively.

I hate to invoke the Scandinavian/Western European example, but for once I would like someone of the conservative/libertarian/taxpa
yer.com mould to explain to me why they would like to head in the direction of the US instead of the Scandinavian/Western European direction. Quality of life is patently linked to the strength of social programs, health care, education, and physical infrastructure, which of course require revenue for the government. -
HUH? Indians as defined under The Iindian Act are a federal responsibility.

Taxes are a wonderful thing. How else do you pay for great government programs that help the most disadvantaged?

I would gladly stop paying income tax, more money in my pocket instead of the stupid governments who give it away to other countries people instead of our own people FIRST!!!!

Oh if they gave the taxpayers more money it would be less money for the indians

Unfortunately there isn't enough server space on You Tube to document all the ways the NDP abuses taxpayers.
Update: 2011 budget does nothing to address bracket creep. The fight continues. Sign the petition, keep forwarding the video

Some more food for thought...
1) Provincial politicians' expense account budgets are indexed for inflation - how convenient!
2) When the NDP introduced a new plan to give political parties taxpayer funds, they wanted those amounts indexed for inflation too!
Talk about priorities...
