Yes that's the radio in the background, I didn't edit the audio out of it at first..
kind of sad now, because about two weeks ago he ran away :(
I hope he is in hibernation somewhere and will stay alive.

Was he a pet or just a wild salamander that showed up?

he showed up in the water at one point which was a complete surprise, but he sort of became a pet because i had to feed him and so i studied everything to get to know how to take care of a salamander.
But I knew the risk of him trying to escape one day allthough i think he never had tried it before.
I just hope he will live without my care, and if not, mm, if there comes a next time, I will take better care of putting on the lid.
