put an IHC or Delco distributor on it and make your life easier, ours smoked almost that bad......shovel the mud out via those covers on the side of the pan and run it with some good diesel motor oil

Who did your mag rebuild? I have an SC with a 4JMA mag that fires well enough to give a shock but not enough to throw a spark across a plug gap or even to time it. Only place I have come across on the internet is in Maine.

Good ears, it was skipping in this video. I had the magneto rebuild and they forgot to use a gasket on the cap. This put the rotor in full contact with the cap, resulting in missfires. It sounds much better in the tractor pull video (2 years later).
