Scotty's KE30 Toyota Corolla street sleeper was built in a mere 4 weeks. Power comes from a $60 wrecking yard stock unopened Nissan VG30 V6 3L engine and Garret roller bearing turbo.
Custom LPG straight gas fuel system by Tunnel Vision, ZX 5spd box, R180 diff.

This was the first time out and the car was suffering from diff hop and severe clutch slip in 4th gear running a best time of 11.4 at 127mph. Power is transmitted through tiny 215mm 14in ET Street Radial tyres and was driven to and from the track. The car should be good for 10s at 130+mph next time out in full street trim.

  • Nice idea with giving adding to the opening with that music.

Thanks for putting the background story of this car in the description.

So was the car $60, or was the engine $60 then added a ball baring turbo from Garret and what does "ball bearing" and "unopened" mean?

Im also going to send you a personal message thanking you for uploading these awsome videos and asking some other questions about cars and some advice about cars. Thanks Fullboost!

  • @mydogzty Thanks for the feedback.

The engine was $60, "unopened" means the engine still retains 100% factory internals. Ball bearing as opposed to an older thrust bearing turbo.

  • Sick project. Big +1 from me!

  • With some stiffer suspension, that car could go much faster. Very nicely done though

  • Spot on, that car's a beast!

  • Pretty cool! 1/4 mile in <12s, that's fast!

    Like that vintage corolla!

  • When the car is accelerating it looks like a hick getting its tooth pulled out.

  • Thought that is a VQ30 not VG?

  • Brilliant it looks as though the chassis is about to corkscrew.

  • @geppegep so if you go headbutt a wall you will bounce back ay

  • @gabbermaikel yeah gas is high octane, im thinking of running 4 gas rings on my old corona, setup right it would go quiet well and be cheaper to run :D
