Assume a typical push-up position, body in a straight line, abs drawn in and glutes activated. Without allowing your back to arch or elbows to bend drop your chest through your shoulder blades and squeeze you scapula together then pull your chest back through your shoulder blades till your upper back rounds slightly. Do not 'shrug' your shoulders during any point of the motion.
