He's My Rockstar Episode Twelve

Joe's POV

Eventually we broke into a conversation and I couldn't help but stare
at Demi. She looked so beautiful. As usual. My chest burned with
jealousy as Justin reached across the table and held her hand.

I also couldn't help but notice the way Taylor looked at Justin? Is
that a crush I sense?

At around 9:30 we decided we would all go out for Starbucks. As soon
as we walked out the restaurant doors, camera flashes were everywhere.
I'm not complaining, I love what I do. But I'd just like to have one
night alone, with my friends, no cameras or paparazzi.

Justin took a sigh of relief and Demi laughed as we walked into
Starbucks. She looked at me and Taylor and smiled and said, "I don't
think I would ever get use to that!"

I chuckled and Taylor laughed and said, "Im still not use to it! And
you're gonna have to be more comfortable around it cause we're gonna
be best friends now!" Taylor linked arms with Demi and dragged her to
the cashier.

I couldn't help but stare longingly at Demi. Justin nudged me and
said, "Come on man," with a smile.

He really has been nice. And it's genuine. When you're in this
business, you can tell who's real and fake.

Justin's all real. I actually feel bad about trying to take his girl.

Demi's POV

We all ordered our drinks and sat at a table. We easily got along. As
a group of course. You could still feel tension between Joe and I.

It actually hurt a bit to think he was on a date with TAYLOR SWIFT
right after he told me he loved me. But how can you love a regular
girl like me when you're surrounded by Taylor Swift's all the time,
right?

I got up to use the washroom, guess I have a small bladder tonight.

When I was done, I walked out and bumped into Joe. "Oh uh..," I mumbled.

Joe looked in my eyes and said, "Sorry."

Demi: Joe..you were on a date with Taylor..

Joe: Demi..I swear it's not what seems like! We're best friends,
nothing more. It wasn't a date. I just needed a friend after..you
know, what happened today.

Demi: Look Joe, it's fine. It's not like we were together.

Joe: I know but...I told you, I love you..I'm sorry.

Joe looked at me with sad eyes, I smiled slightly and said, "You have
nothing to worry about. It's okay if you like me, I kinda like you too
but I'm with Justin and I can see a future with him. I've known him my
whole life, I can't leave him because of one guy I've known for a few
weeks. I'm so sorry, but nothing can happen between us," I couldn't
help the tear that slid down my cheek.

Joe wiped it off with his thumb. He nodded with a sad smile and then
his expression turned cold. He walked away without another word.

I followed him to the table and we sat down. Taylor turned to me
excitedly and said, "We are going shopping tomorrow!"

I laughed and said, "How about Saturday? I have school tomorrow and
Justin and I always spend Friday nights together." I blushed and
looked down.

Joe's face cringed with pain and Taylor smiled, "Okay! I'll pick you
up on Saturday! Just text me your address."

We exchanged phone numbers and then Joe and Taylor left. Justin sighed
happily and put his arm around me, "That was a nice night."

I nodded and leaned up to kiss him, but frowned slightly when he
turned his head. I stared at him with a confused face. He just looked
straight ahead and said, "Joe likes you."

I took in a sharp breath, "What? No he doesn't."

"Demi, he does. And you like him."

I stood up and faced him. "Justin! I don't!"

He stood up and grabbed my hand, "I'll take you home now."

"Justin, okay.." I stopped him when we were outside and grabbed his
face, "Maybe I have feelings for him, but they're nothing compared to
the feelings I have for you.." I breathed in deeply, "I love you."
Justin smiled and kissed me.

I ignored the voice in the back of my head that was screaming, "LIE
LIE LIE OH AND ANOTHER LIE."
