Actually the cell phone is not free for all states, some states require you pay a discount rate the bill..$5-$30 ...

@analyzingfunny You are probably a zero liability voter…If I had to guess I would say that you do not pay taxes…. Sure they may come out of your paycheck but they are returned to you at the end of the year along with a earned income credit… Sorry you are NOT a taxpayer!

@LOVERSANDLIES WTH do you mean the taxpayers don't pay for the free phone? Who the hell does? The government? Where does the government get their money from the taxpayer. They cannot give to one person without taking away from another person first!

I believe that this is a great help 4 the people who really r in need of it, but we have 2 admit this advertisement is made in the wrong way, it sort of gives u the idea that any1 can have a free phone just cause, & I believe a cell should b an emergency tool, not a chatty-texty device, I pay 2much 4 a Sprint cell that a barely use, will b off as soon as the contract expires, & what makes a few upset, is the fact that (I also see it) there's lots of lazy people on desability who can still work!

GET A JOB. WHY ARE WE PAYING FOR YOU TO HAVE A CELL PHONE????
I would like to say something in support of this. I have one, and it has been a godsend. To the people who say "get a job" or anything else like that, I say that I work 32 hour a week at about 8 bucks an hour. I am a tax paying American who works and receives aid. By the time I pay rent and bills, even 15-25 or 60 dollars per month for a phone is out of the question. Thank goodness for Google Voice as well, which is my primary phone number. This puts wireless in the hands of the working poor.ty
