Calderon meets Nepomuceno

Today Nepomuceno was murdered by an armed convoy in the City of Hermosillo, Sonora. He was an activist of the Movement for peace. He demanded to have his son back, who was abducted in July 2010 and he accused the Mexican police of being involved in the abduction. He met the president to demand protection as he was being harassed ... but he did not receive it.


He was a simple and charismatic northerner.

He foresaw his death. He was conscious he had made too many accusations against the government. Even after being threatened, he persevered.

He used to say:

"It doesn't matter is I pass away in the attempt, but I can't abandon my son".
