this isnt proper wing chun. his elbows are out.

@ROOTSOFCOMBAT2 the moves he liked, biting, breaking bones, eye strikes, are still pretty illegal in competition. But he disliked competition because he saw his brother clearly win a fencing match and the judge said he lost

@anthonyrivero415 no in sparring matches before he moved to america, mostly with rival schools
he was also his schools boxing champ for 4 years (without having trained in boxing at this point)
(fighters/athletes lee beat in sparring matches later in his life) Bob wall world karate champ, Kareem abdul Jabar you know who he is, chuck norris american karate champ
He was against proffesional competion because at that time almost all of the moves he liked were illegal

@ROOTSOFCOMBAT2 Yeah streetfights against some drunk bastards, no elite athlete in combat sports i bet
-
@anthonyrivero415 Lee also was the victor of numerous street fights in his life.

@LaRueDeeko No he decided the art was to rigded and didnt have enough power long range. He then took bits and pieces of other arts and applied wing chun concepts to them creating jun fan gung fu.
-
He used Wing Chun and then after winning a fight using it....concluded that it had too much wasted motion and proceeded to move on to other arts.

@firehelpmate and remember bruce lee was an actor. mike tyson would have fucked him up
People, before commenting on how wing tsun looks like a joke, remember that Bruce Lee used Wing Chun.

@IlHikariIl first: a perfect slap is a thousand times better than an improper punch.
second: a relaxed fist and forearm is key to a wing chun strike. and no; its not weak compared to other punches.
