My blog http://hometracks.blogspot.com. Here's a quick overview of PreSonus VSL software for the AudioBox 22VSL. When I was shopping for new USB audio nterface I wanted to know more about how this worked. Hope this video helps others. PreSonus = highly recommended!

  • any new thoughts on the 22vsl? Still recomend? After using for a month do you still like it? I'm thinking about buying it. Do you think the 22 is enough or wish you went to the 44?

  • @GeneralExpert yes, I still recommend. the only thing I don't like is when you turn on 48V phantom power it goes to both inputs. this means you can't use a condenser and dynamic mic at the same time. it would have been nice if there were two discrete pre-amps. other than that its a great unit. on the 44... I'm sure someday I will probably wish I had more inputs. but for now the 22 is fine for me.

  • @ultrapoker Hey, great video! This and your unboxing vid helped convince me to buy this unit.

Just wanted to let you know though, I use my Shure SM58 (dynamic) along with an AT condenser and the dynamic works just fine with the phantom power on. I was worried about that with the first interface I bought but I did some research and most modern dynamic mics work just fine with phantom power.

  • @stubby019 thanks. still neverous about turning phantom on with the two different mics. the manual warns against it.

  • My DAW(riffworks) will only recording my vocals dry. I made sure the POST button is highlighted but it still doesn't allow the effects to go through. i am stumped :S . any help would be great.

  • Thanks for the tips. I just picked up the bundle and i love it.. Keep up the good work..

  • Recently got the 44VSL and found this video to be extremely helpful.. Thank you! I also use Rhode Condenser mics and Sure dynamic mics with no problem using Phantom power with a mix of mics at all.

    All the best!

  • @LILMIC412not sure I understand your question.. but.. first.. the delay on VSL software is for monitoring only. it does not get recorded on your DAW. in studio one you can add effects on to isolated parts of vocals. i did a video on how to do this. hope this helps.

  • Question how Can you use the delay Effect on audiobox for your vocals in studio one only on a certain part of the vocals withous all of the vocals delaying? (i know the question sounds coufusing but if you could please answer this question it would really help.)

  • nice video, very helpfull, thanks
