Alaska Sockeye is a trailer for an upcoming documentary about the Salmon Commercial Fishing Industry in Alaska.
Every summer salmon have migrated to a region in Alaskan know as Bristol Bay to make their way against the current into the countless rivers and streams that make up thousands of miles of coastline around the waters of Alaska. Before commercialization of the region Alaskan Natives fished these waters to catch the variety of salmon - Chinook (king), Sockeye (red), Coho (silver), Humpbacked (pink) and Chum (dog) to feed their families. As these Salmon have been making this journey for centuries, the salmon cycle has spawned an industry and legacy of its own. The history of this legacy is going to be told from the past Alaskan Native to the current deck hand as we explore "Alaska ∞ Sockeye"
