As I said before, she was mistaken. She believed that homosexuality was either taught or caught like a disease. We have moved beyond that. Her beliefs were wrong. Being wrong doesn't make a person evil. We are all wrong from time to time.

You need to read a little more about her. She nearly cost every LGBT teacher their jobs in the 1970's She wanted to make it illegal for gay teachers to be hired by the Florida School System. This is not just about her having her own opinion--this is about marginalizing and discriminating against the LGBT community through trying to change the existing laws to make homosexuality a felony in Florida. I'm gay and I have never thought Anita Bryant was an evil or bad person. She was mistaken. There is a difference.
