@hegadem id say i agree, only i dont really know any games that might actually force players to use their brain besides strategy games such as starcraft and so on :P
@hegadem Your ignorant vitriol concerning the stereotypes of FPS players notwithstanding, to say that they test only reflexes is not only ridiculous but also wrong. Granted, the games themselves don't approach the level of depth and maturity of, say, chess, but there is much more under the surface. Hate on Fat all you like, but you can't have a tournament run like he had without striving to excel in all areas. Control and mindgames are important, moreso in Quake than most other shooters.
Nice product placement.

@sweeezme: everyone is free to play whatever they enjoy the most.
It is just my opinion that time is better spent playing games
(or doing something) that in the long run can benefit you, make you
smarter and wiser and so on.

@hegadem interesting point, there might be some truth in there but...
its not always the case ;P
my IQ is 115 and i like most fps (not so much the cod series)
its no einstein IQ since his IQ was about 150 but its not stupid either... anyway
what type of games would you prefer that would test your intellectual skills?

@Harkz0r: better jump back into your parent's basement
and keep shooting those monsters on the screen, it will
really get you somewhere, like the poor house. The real world
is outside, not at home on your computer.
