This is a good example of the fact any magician, illusionist has to learn at the very first beginning!!! DONT PERFORM ANY TRICK IF YOU CANNOT DO IT PROPERLY!!!!
And with that is ment that your able to do the trick well enough to fool the audience!!
His mistake here was not holding his wrists tight together!!! Showing us the secret behind the trick, namely he isnt tied up as good as he wants his audience to believe!!!

if u look real close u can see him twist his hands when he puts his hands back in the when he puts up 3 fingers and theres an X crossed rope ........so all he does is twist his hands in opposite positions?
