@ChineseSlaves well.... china is well known of copycat, imitation, reverse engineering method and i don't quite sure when will these engines improve after taking some few victims. It is the quality and effectiveness issue here.. I not say Chinese can't make the engines. but we all know Chinese made have the reliability issue.

Is it a chinese designed engine or is this another product that is based on another foreign design? It takes a long time to reach at a point where you can design your own engine. China at this point is good at making foreign designed products whether it is licensed or not.

@weatherman001 well, two Chinese sedans were granted 4 stars in lastest Euro NCAP test. Yeah, Chinese cars are as inferior as Japanese ones in 1970s. But who knows if those copycats from China will dominate the market 2 decades later.

@peterFans no doubt the jet engine's full of problems. but at least they were able to design their first jet engine. the problem's just how to gradually improve its quality.
