http://CarolinasMetro.com - One of North Carolina's largest and most distinguished business districts and home to many of the finest residential neighborhoods, Southpark has become a defining element of South Charlotte. Country's finest retailers, including Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom's are located in the South Park Mall. A variety of restaurants, shops, hotels and movie theaters are nearby.
Our area's tremendous growth rate is reflected in the housing market, which has remained hot for years, no matter the swing in interest rates. Cities of Charlotte, Matthews, Weddington, Waxhaw, Mint Hill, Fort Mill; Lake Norman and Lake Wylie areas located in counties of Union, Mecklenburg, York, Iredell, Lincoln, Gaston and Cabarrus offer an array of homes, both existing and new construction, giving people a selection large enough to accommodate anyone's taste.

FYI: When SouthPark Mall opened in 1970 it became one of the finest shopping centers in all of North Carolina and was a mecca for fashion and great shopping. In 1970,the main anchor stores included
Belk's, Ivey's, F.W. Woolworth's,and Sears along with Eckerd Drugs, and it had a plaza area that anchored a Colonial Stores grocery, several specialty shops and a General Cinema Theatre.
