Five pounds of possum

Dad (Chuck Sapp) heard this song recently and just had to get the lyrics. Still not sure who wrote it but it has certainly been performed by many bluegrass groups out there and it always brings laughter from the audience!

@rdearstone Thanks to you for the info on ho wrote this song I have a C D by a group out of Elton Louisiana the name of the band was 190 Express the man name was Stan Estes he played lead guitar and sang while his cousin Glen Estes and Glen's wife Grace Played Bass they were a great 3 piece band. but Stan Passed away a few years back.. Well Thank you For Posting This And Letting people know ho wrote the song I was Thanking Stan May have wrote it

5 Lbs Of Possum was written by Tim White and copyrighted by Mack Haun Music in 1992.

It was released on an album entitled "The Possum Tapes" by Heartland Recordings music label in 1993.
