@Mannard XD no dude Malware is short for Malicious Software. AV's are supposed to detect adware, rootkits, spyware, scareware, and other types of Malware

Of course clamwin isnt going to detect malware / rogueware / adware.. It's an anti-virus not anti-malware. 90% of most infections now are through social networking site links or the like. Malwarebytes is a program worth purchasing for the real time protection.

you can install clam sentinel alongside it for some realtime protection, also it has a scheduled scan capability

Isn't clamwin an on-demand scanner? I don't think it has real-time protection... ok I get, you want to download then scan... ok. Still you should have scanned the memory RAM.
