http://www.TheRawFoodWorld.com - today Angela and I were on a hike and we were going backwards and forwards wondering if enzymes would help a person lose weight or gain weight. However, in the end, I think we came to a GREAT conclusion!

  • Way back in the 1970's in Lets Live magazine, they had an article on this. YES, it is scientifically proven that those who took digestive enzymes lost more weight on the same diet than those who did not. I started to take enzymes then. Also a similar study was done with CoQ10, and those who took I think at least 100 mg's were more successful at weight loss. I also take that when I cam afford it!! Dieters need every advantage.

  • wtf? if your on a raw food diet then you dnt need to buy enzymes. raw food is literally enzymes!

  • u look kind of like Helga from the Andy Wyeth paintings

  • hello @ not opposite apposite, i'd go from grains comparison gettin assistance like they get if soaked singly or more meal to bring out surface enzymatic process w/o addition. so w/ flax gelled versus oiled there'll be more digestion. whether you can insert it to full benefit than just tappin into the emptyin aspect's to be part of the true catch up equation. yay to visible healing besides appearance, eye exercises line up w/ fueled to not just sit though food can to release that lol. stroll etc

  • The enzymes (if not denatured by HCl) will help to digest (break down the fat into a fatty acids and glycerols) to prepare them for metabolism. However once the food is digested it must be metabolized. The body doesn't skip steps. As we know enzymes are catalyst that speed up reactions. So digestive enzymes speed up digestion and not necessarily metabolism. Therefore the almond butter per 3500 calories will still equal the addition of 1 pound of fat (under normal circumstances).

  • Angela, you are absolutely beautiful! Matt, you're one lucky guy! Keep up the great work, the two of you! Your message is truly inspirational!

  • @objectavatar : Okay, but what about my situation? I am 44 and have worn glasses since age 12. I always had to get stronger and stronger prescriptions. One eye doc told me that my nearsightedness was double legally blind. On my last time getting a prescription, I found out that I needed a weaker prescription!

  • The outcome of whether or not one would gain or lose weight is totally individual as our bodies are so different. Anyway, we can think and think and think about, mental gymnastics and all that, but the best way to find out is to just DO it! Become the experiment.

  • Enjoying your site, guys! Although Angela's theories on why her eyesight is changing aren't scientifically correct. I'm in my early 30s and my prescription also recently improved slightly. My opthamologist told me that many people near-sighted from childhood begin to reverse their prescription slightly in their 30s. Often an astigmatism will get worse or change, but a small level of near-sightedness will reverse itself as the eye ages because the cornea changes shape.

  • Aren't enzymes denial of raw food diet? In how way you can receive enzymes?
