I decided to participate in the digital story-telling workshop because I feel a deep need to share my story but I am unable to do so openly due to the stigma that still surrounds HIV.

Hi, I can understand your feelings of isolation and if my story helped alleviate those feelings then I feel that it was very worthwhile sharing my story. I will keep my fingers crossed that your worst fears are not realised and sincerely hope that your tests come back negative. However, if they are positive, please do not despair - there are good support groups in most countries - you are not alone. Positive Women is a great support in NZ. Best Wishes. Michelle

  • I don't feel all alone now. I just got an HIV test done and I deeply suspect that I am HIV positive. I have not received the news yet and I am not sure how I will handle the news. Your story has touched me and it hurts being betrayed and lied to about the most important things and I can SO relate to you. Thanks again

  • thanks for sharing ur personal story, its always hard to do. i will continue to pray for a cure for hiv. live strong!
