Still a great joy to these ears. The idiot who hated this performance knows nothing. A beastly hard piece for the first violin & clarinet--beautifully rendered here. Everyone is top-notch. A great French hornist--such dynamic control. Bravi tutti!

@cbloom1991 If i could play like her, I wouldn't care if my posture was the worst anyone had ever seen. I think her passion for what she does and the love she has for her instrument (or the loaned STRAD she might be using) overshadows any imperfection she may have. Lo, if we ALL could be so imperfect! :)

janine's posture is terrible in technical terms, but i don;t care she plays with such passion and is wonderful to the ear

But beautiful and charismatic Janine Jansen is FANTASTIC !

Why not post the 1st movement?? This is a wonderful performance. If there are a few wrong notes, a squeek on the clarinet or a clam from the horn who cares? Please post it--a mistake will be forgiven by anyone who really understands the vagaries of performance.

I am sorry guys-but i never could find the 1 st MV. it was not on the TV website. i did hear the concert couple of times on the radio and the 1st MV is as good as it gets.i will post it the minute i have it. I do have other videos from the festival and i will post them soon !
