@mpalin11 mee to, having watched a video of a 78rpm edition of "help" by the beatles, and a 78rpm edition of some beach boys song, I thought "maybe it was made in india or somehere where 78rpm records were still made in the 60s and 70s", hehe, I was curious about how would "smoke on the water" sound like on 78rpm :)

You should really load in "Deep Purple" by Larry Clinton Orchestra, featuring Bea Wain on vocal, which is the definitive version. The Clinton version was #1 for NINE weeks in 1939, Shaw's only made it to #17.
