and what if you cant stand your wife/husband? what if you get beat? if your children suffer under permanent fights? if you simply dont love your partner anymore? should you waist your life for something like this?

i mean im not against marriage but seriously theres a reasen why there is such thing as a divorce.

There's nothing in the bill saying you can't live separately. But NO DIVORCE. (Actually, it allows for certain kinds of divorce, just not no-fault easy divorce) It's FOR the children.

a girl marries a guy. he seemed nice, they have a lot in common. then, he becomes abusive, and beats her regularly. but hey, it her own fault, right? why should they be allowed to divorce?! :D

Dear God...how can you not tell that the whole "act" and video are jokes. They are mocking the arguments against gay marriage. People say allowing gay marriage would go against "tradition", however those same people seem to completely ignore the disturbingly high divorce rate. I can meet some drugged out hooker and marry her at the court house in no time...but a committed gay couple cannot, because that would tarnish "tradition". The argument is very hypocritical.

There is no constitutional ground for the defense of marriage act, because you would have to violate the constitution amendment that you are changing. Big fat period, end of story.

Though it will support same sex marriage. There is no way around the constitution. You can't just change it while violating it. Think about it folks. Can you ban marriage under the constitution all together? if not, then there you go!
