Adrian & Blissfield Railroad, located in southern Michigan, has several historic GP9 diesels built by EMD in the mid-50s. The first scene takes part in Blissfield, Michigan; where the Adrian & Blissfield were having problems with grade crossing signals. Therefore, the crew had to flag the grade crossings while out on a local grain run with ADBF GP9 #1751. The next scene also takes place in Blissfield, this time, with ADBF GP9 #1752, which was pulling the Old Road Dinner Train (which also happens to be the oldest continuously operating Murder Mystery/Dinner Train). We chase side-by-side with #1752 to Lenawee Juntion, where the locomotive switches to make the reverse trip back to Blissfield. We then set up at Jackson, Michigan's Amtrak Station, the oldest continuously operated passenger train station in America, to film Jackson & Lansing Railroad (ADBF) GP9 #1760, which arrives into Norfolk Southern's Jackson Yard to pull local freight train JAIL back to Holt, Michigan. The train's name comes from the old Jackson Prison, located where the tracks parallel the old prison walls, just north of the Mechanic Street crossing. Others suggest the train's name could represent the counties in which it travels through, Jackson and Ingham Counties, i.e. Jackson & Ingham Line (JAIL). Near the end of this film, we chase Jackson & Lansing Railroad (ADBF) GP15-1's #1443 and #1419 on a light engine move to Mason, Michigan. Copyright 2011.
