DIY MATTE BOX (low cost)

This is the original VHS Video Case Matte Box, invented by me a couple of months ago.

Don't cut the top slot if you can manage without it and it will be even better, or you can fit a duck tape light shield just in front of the slot if you use longer filters like me.

One of the cases in the video is gloss, but that's just for demo- you really need Matt Black cases.

Hope you like it, looking forward to seeing the variations and mutations it might spawn on youtube too! (And there should be many, considering the cost of even a 'cheap' Matte Box)

I made it to shoot into the direction of the sun while making a dvd for tourists. Using the matte box and filters allowed me to show excellent sunsets without washed out skies.
