I've had 20 tetras and 4 ghost shrimp in my 3.5 gallon tank for almost 2 and a half years now and none of them have died! As long as u take care of the water and have a heater, filter, bubbler, and hiding places small shoaling fish like neon tetras are perfect for small tanks, so are ghost shrimp, they are very entertaining! I know im going agaisnt the 1 gallon per inch rule but I believe that neon tetras are the exception because there really small (about an inch) and theyre a shoaling fish

They are spool cool! I'm getting mine this weekend! :D
I remember as a kid never being able to have my neon tetras live past a month no matter how i changed the water and all. Your video is pretty much my dream tank and was wondering, with your bristlenose he doesnt eat the plants and just the algae?

@eleeschalow G'day, and thank you! This tank looks a little different now, and I traded in most of the neon's. I still have 8 of them, but also have several other tetras. I have read that the bristlenoses will destroy anubius with their constant rasping, but mine have never been more than helpful. Without them, the anubius leaves get all over run with hair short algae.

Very nice tank. Like your set up. Just wondering, how did you get the Anubias plant stuck to the driftwood and how long did it take to stick to it? I just recently bought a driftwood and an anubias plant. Gimme a response. thanks.

G'day. I actually bought this driftwood pre planted with the Anubias, though I have done it the hard way in the past! It doesn't take long for it to "stick", about 2 weeks should be enough to allow it to hold on for itself, assuming it's a happy plant and the roots are shooting. Just tie it down with some cotton, or fishing line (not too tight, but firm enough to hold it without too much movement), and wait! No real trick to it.

Are those plants real?

Hey skimstr, they sure are real. Anubias planted on driftwood. They look nice and require virtually no care and minimal light. They have collected a bit of algae on the leaves now because they are such slow growers. I got a brisltenose last week and he's doing a great job of cleaning it off! Cheers.
