The man immediately got feisty with my friend Rob Sivulka, so I got out my camera thinking he might need to be calmed down (the camera can have a taming effect). It turned out to be a lively conversation.

He was masterful at hedging direct questions.

  • @weezrfan009, you sound pretty angry at me. Not sure if you live in the SLC Valley, but if you do, I'd be glad to take you out for a friendly lunch sometime. I'll pay. Grace and peace.

  • @aaronshaf2006 i actually sent a message last night apologizing but it must not have shown. yes i was quick to anger but i am human, and it does really offend me when people try to make my religion and friends look like fools. thats not how Christ would have done it. So hey, sorry if i came off rude or angry. Just try to not put down or convince us that we are living a lie cause i personally have asked God with real intent to know if it was true and I got my answer. we can both be christians :)

  • @weezrfan009 If it helps, most of the time evangelistic conversations aren't like this one in the video. Most of them are more personal, friendly conversations. You say, "t try to not put down or convince us that we are living a lie", but how can you ask me that if I really do believe you are living a lie? :-( The Jesus of Mormonism is far different than the Jesus of the Bible. The Jesus of the Bible is the Almighty God who created everything, who offers forgiveness as an immediate, free gift.

  • Does this give you some sort of sick pleasure trying to put down others religons? So if you claim to be Christian (your acts suggest otherwise) I suggest you do something better with your time like reading the scriptures to uplift and teach you how to be Christ-like rather than as a tool to destroy others views on God.

"judge not lest ye be judged"

  • @weezrfan09 Aren't you judging others for judging? Isn't that self-defeating?

  • God never sinned just like Jesus never sinned, Jesus said I do nothing save that which I have seen my Father do. & no we will not be God's in the exact same way.

Why does it matter what 2/3rds believe.I have had conversations with many christians and at least 2/3rds if not more don't speak as true christians. So I guess that lack of knowledge or understanding can be found within all faiths.

FYI this interviewer is asking this man to speculate this is not doctrine it is this mans opinion.

  • I was a Mormon for 33 yrs. until I actually read and studied the Bible. Whatever Mormon thinks the Bible and Book of Mormon goes hand in hand has never studied the Bible. The Bible is actually in opposition to nearly ever doctrine of the LDS church. I pray that the veil will be lifted on all Mormons so they will put their complete faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and thus becoming saved and a child of God.

  • ugh 18 minutes of blasphemy

  • I've got a secret that you all might like to hear. Do you want to hear the secret? Ok! A personal God doesn't exist and the after life is probably just wishful thinking. Happy camping :D

  • The repetition of the questioning (asking the same question more than once or starting multiple questions with "can I ask you") is known to cause agitation. I attribute this to the great lessons of John Cleese: how to irritate people :D

  • I'M A FORMER Mormon missionary, and apologist (defender of the Church against anti-Mormon attacks). I wrote a book defending the Church ("The Gainsayers"). The evidence is 100% against the Church being true.I left in '96. I am now a Daheshist, a follower of Dr. Dahesh (1912-1984), the miracle-working prophet of Lebanon. He raised the dead, healed the sick, turned water into wine, walked on water, etc. For further info on Doctor Dahesh and His Teachings email me: darrick_evenson AT yahoo DOT com

  • All you need is to read the Bible, then you would know that all of this is rubbish.

  • @weezrfan09 Are you serious? have you read what the LDS leaders like Joe Smith, Brigham Young etc..against the Christianty? stop deflecting the real issue and that theLDS claim to be the "Restored Church" when in fact it's a polygamist, polytheistic, racsit etcc... church and it can be proven with LDS publications(there own sources) so please.Grow up and take the issues directly not the typical cult evasion tactic.

  • There has NEVER been either Jewish nor Christian beliefs in polytheism. As a Jew I find LDS theology in no way connected to my poeple except in one, and that is when Children of Israel believed in other "gods" that were not true gods at all. Polytheism is NOT Jewsih nor Christian period end of story.

  • why ask questions none of us can know till after this life. just be peaceful and love others. seriously.
