On Aug - 2009 - Detroit Artist, Jim Smutek walked the streets of the Russell Industrial Center for the art festival dressed as GUMMY MAN. The black latex suit represents the cancer. The chewed up pink bubble gum represents the new healthy skin growth. Participants could buy a piece of gum for $1.00 and put it on GUMMY MAN -- anyplace they choose.

I filmed him through the course of the afternoon and everything you see in this clip is unscripted.....

The proceeds of this event were donated to Karmanos cancer research in Metro Detroit.
