Towards the end of a Hitchens vs. Turek debate, Hitchens gets a question from a sour looking audience member. The questioner, who obviously disagrees with atheism, asks Hitchens why he doesn't just stay home. Hitchens makes him regret that question with a resounding clarification ... Oh, yeah!

So it drives you to think that believing in god is ultimately more ulterior than not knowing because that which you want to assimilate and don't is just "beyond human comprehension".

@balamanti2 I have not accused religion of the death of millions; in fact, the only thing I've done is a sarcastic remark that vaguely leads to the conclusion that religious practice is ultimately pointless in a practical sense.

@MrSamySara Do you know who America was founded by? Or even our fore-fathers? Simple history lesson. What religion were the people in question that gave birth to such a great country? Compare that time with the 'now' then look back at your post and ask yourself if you have openly accepted your own stupidity or if you just choose to ignore it. I'm sure whatever comment your post in response will ensure great hilarity.
